MKTG Inc., a nationwide event management group needed six Final Cut Pro HD editing systems and six fast but highly skilled and creative editors to cut the tv.com awards show, an event being held at Petco Park in San Diego during the Comicon convention. The event was captured using a mobile television truck from Cox Cable and six HD cameras, and the catch was that the entire show, including motion graphics needed to be finished and ready to upload within just 3 days.

Marc Hochman, event Post Production supervisor for MKTG Inc. turned to Planet Post for help.

“This project was a bit of a challenge, especially with all the footage from a multi-cam shoot that required sharing resources between multiple systems and editors,” said Planet Post General Manager, Steve Zatarain. “Add to that the short timeline and the typical delay waiting for rough approvals from the client. But once the systems were cloned and the footage was brought in, our network handled the workload with ease and the editors were able to work around the clock.  We finished the show and sent sent off finals without a hitch.”
